As of late I’ve been feeling a little spontaneous in the kitchen and before you I’ve provided a collection of the things I’ve whipped up…
My ultimate goal is to cook homemade dishes daily, by sourcing some of the freshest local ingredients to fuel not only my body, but nourish my spirit as well.

While trying to decide on what we’re having for super, I whipped up a couple of tasty treats…
Vanilla Bean Dream Shake –
- vanilla ice cream
- orange juice
- hemp seeds
- ground chia seeds
- frozen chunks of papaya
- frozen chunks of pineapple
Lean Green Machine Smoothie –
- two cups of frozen spinach
- frozen strawberries
- one cup of peach Greek yogurt
- frozen chunks of papaya
- frozen chunks of pineapple
- 100% pomegranate juice

Chickpeas with a Twist –
- chickpeas
- potatoes
- onions
- bay leaves
- coconut milk
- olive Oil
- brown rice
- A smidgen of secret herbs & spices
Oh and a few tortillas (because, I didn’t have any Nann)!


Avocado Pasta –
Meat
- 8 slices Bacon, crisp & crumbled cooked (optional)
Produce
- 1 avocado
- 1 (ripe) avocado
- 1 cup of cherry tomatoes
- 6 tbsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 green onion
- 1/2 (fresh) lime
Condiments
- 1 tsp lime juice
Pasta & Grains
- 8 oz rotini or bow tie pasta
Baking & Spices
- 1 salt & pepper
Nuts & Seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin
Dairy
- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour, self-rising
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Southern Caramel Icing Recipe, double the recipe or boil one can of condensed milk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare 3 9-inch cake pans.
- Cream butter til fluffy and then add sugar and cream for about 8 more minutes.
- Add eggs, 1 at a time, and cream after each.
- Add flour and buttermilk, alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
- Add vanilla and beat well.
- Divide among pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
- Turn out of pans onto cooling racks and allow to cool completely.
- Prepare Southern Caramel Icing as cakes are cooling then ice cake.



Quintessentially Divine Quiche –
- 4 egg whites
- 2 cups of (light) cottage cheese
- Heaps of broccoli (chopped)
- Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
- Lean Canadian bacon (diced)
- A few pinches of salt & pepper
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees in a nonstick pan.
Heirloom tomatoes sautéed in olive oil with a few pinches of salt & pepper…for garnish.


(Vegetarian, Gluten free)
Produce
- 1 1/2 cups carrots
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 tsp ginger
- 3/4 cup green onions
- 1 lime (wedges)
- 2 Red bell peppers
- 1 red cabbage (optional)
- 1 red onion (small)
Canned Goods
- 1 (15 oz) can (unsweetened) coconut milk
Condiments
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
Pasta & Grains
- 1 1/2 cups jasmine rice or brown rice
Baking & Spices
- 1 tsp salt
Oils & Vinegars
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
Nuts & Seeds
- 1 cup cashews (optional)
Liquids
- 1 cup water (to thin)

- frozen peaches
- frozen strawberries
- coconut milk
- vanilla ice cream
- a few splashes of 💯 cranberry juice⛱
